What does the added programming in the section of Flash Memory means?

Latest Updated:03/26/2009

Question:

What is the meaning of additional programming in the note that "Do not perform additional programming. Reprogramming should be performed after the erase." in "Programming/Erasing Data in Flash Memory" of the Usage Note in the section of Flash Memory?

Answer:

The "additional programming" in the "Programming/Erasing Data in Flash Memory" means writing in the blocks that have already been written. Rewriting in written blocks is prohibited.

Besides, there is also another mention of additional programming in the "Program/Program Verify Flow", but this means to rewrite 0 on the possible element of being insufficiently charged.
