Errors occur in setting external flash ROM using external flash editor
Question:
I use the E1/E20 emulator for the RX microcomputer.
I set the external flash ROM by using an external flash definition editor, but when I downloaded a program to it, the error message below was displayed and correctly writing the program was not possible.
CubeSuite+:
An error has occurred in verification of the external flash ROM. The flash ROM may have been degraded. (E1812802)
or
An error has occurred in erasing of the external flash ROM. The flash ROM may have been degraded. (E1812800)
High-performance Embedded Workshop:
An error has occurred in verification of the external flash ROM. The flash ROM may have been degraded.
or
An error has occurred in erasing of the external flash ROM. The flash ROM may have been degraded.
Answer:
The error might be occurring because the case described in the issue of tool news shown below is applicable.

- Recreate a USD file after selecting the lock function.
- Select [No] for [Erase external flash ROM before download] in the CubeSuite+ properties panel.
