What happens to the data in the user ROM area if a reset occurs?

Latest Updated:09/10/2014

Question:

If a reset occurs while programming/erasing data in the user ROM area, what happens to the data in the user ROM area?

Answer:

If the MCU is reset outside the range of the recommended operating voltage, not only might the data in the address being programmed or block being erased become undefined, but the data in the user ROM area may also become undefined. Then MCU operations cannot be guaranteed.

If the reset occurs within the range of the recommended operating voltage, the data will be undefined in addresses being programmed or in blocks being erased, but there is no change in the data for other addresses and blocks.
